Wallpaper* magazine nets Swarovski to sponsor debut iPhone app
Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 12:23PM Design and fashion magazine Wallpaper* has launched its first iPhone app, with Swarovski Crystal Palace as its sponsor. The IPC Media-owned title’s app features news content from the fashion industry as well as picture galleries and video. Developed by Umee, the free app will also include updates on design fairs, fashion shows and exhibitions. Swarovski has sponsored the app for the first three months, with a hub dedicated to Swarovski news and photo galleries. The app will be promoted via Wallpaper*’s site and magazine. Mobile has been cited as a key area for opportunity for publishers. The Association of Online Publishers found three-quarters plan to boost their mobile skills.
