A selection of our key app modules…

Content: Articles. Provides online and offline reading of news articles and editorial features – including all titles, photos, credits other full article content. Includes full-screen reading when the iPhone is rotated to the landscape position.

Content: Photos Fully interactive; allowing the user to ‘pinch’ and ‘wipe’ to zoom, rotate and navigate through galleries of photos.  Includes captions and the ability for users to use photos they discover as their wallpaper.

Content: Videos Streaming of videos from supported sources (including YouTube). Includes ‘adaptive streaming’, allowing high or lower resolution videos to be played depending on whether the iPhone is connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi or 3G.

Content: Audio Streaming of audio files, including MP3. For the operators of radio stations, the Umee Mobile for Radio add-on also provides a fully featured online radio player, including 'now playing' information and links to iTunes.

Sharing: Twitter Brings streams of relevant Tweets to an application.  These streams can be made up of almost any combination of searches, hashtags or individual Tweeters. Fully interactive, allowing the user to re-tweet, favourite and follow.

Sharing: Enhanced sharing The audience are able to share any content that they discover within an application with their circle-of-friends across email, Facebook and Twitter.

Backend: Content integration The ‘Umee Publish’ platform reduces the efforts required to get the content ready for consumption on an iPhone – taking care of image resizing, article scraping and even video trans-coding if necessary.

Backend: Audience analytics Providing reports of the audience’s behaviour, including; the number of unique users, the profile of application usage and interaction with sponsorship items.

Monetise: Content purchases Providing the user with premium features and content that they can purchase via their iTunes account from within the application.

Monetise: Sponsorship Allowing an application’s owner to display banner and micro-site content throughout the application, on behalf of sponsors.
